Superintendent shares Employee Survey results
/Thank you for taking the opportunity to fill out the District survey. This information is valuable for us as we continue to find ways to keep LT an amazing district not only for our students, but also for our staff. We want to take this opportunity to share with you some great information from these survey results in an easy to review format.
Information regarding the survey:
We received responses from 589 of approximately 1380 current employees
The survey was available for completion from February 8 to February 24
A small sampling of praises and things staff appreciate from the survey:
Like getting food
Like swag and other appreciation items
Admin PLC’s, New and Advanced Admin Bootcamps
Staff shout outs on campus newsletters/district newsletters
Bonuses, pay increases
Thankful for PTO/PTA groups and all they do
Admin being supportive and visible
Handwritten notes/thank you notes
CDC program
Campus/department activities and events
Not having to make up bad weather days
Support from team/departments

Want more time for collaboration, planning, especially on PD days
More jean days or just jeans all the time
Pay increases and more one-time incentives/bonuses
Training for non-instructional staff
More staff shout outs in campus newsletter
More hand written notes
Increased staff technology access
Staff having more of a voice in decision making
More staff discounts including free tickets to fine arts and athletic events and discounted gym memberships

I also want to share with you some of the graph results from some of the survey questions. This gives us a great barometer of how the LT Family feels about our district and each other:
As you can see from these results, we have a lot of great things happening in Lake Travis and we also have some opportunities for growth. As we plan for the upcoming school year and beyond, we will keep these things in mind as to how we can improve our district by campus/department as well as the entire district.
