Lake Travis shares best practices at International Dyslexia Conference

Lake Travis ISD was well represented at the International Dyslexia Association's DyslexiaCon 2022 held November 10-12 in San Antonio as Krystie Griffin and Dr. Dena Crook co-presented a session titled, "Fostering Independence in Secondary and Post-Secondary Students with Dyslexia."

Krystie, a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), serves as the District's Intervention Services Coordinator and Dr. Cook is a senior lecturer at Texas State University and parent of a student who attends LTISD schools. Their session highlighted multiple topics for helping students with dyslexia successfully transition from high school to post-secondary institutions. Overall, the IDA Annual Reading, Literacy and Learning Conference was packed with education sessions tailored specifically for professionals, families, and those affected by dyslexia.
