For the second consecutive year, LTISD has earned an ‘A’ rating (94) under the state’s 2019 accountability system.
The Texas Education Agency introduced the A-through-F rating system last year, assigning letter grades to districts and numeric scores to campuses on a scale of 0-100. This year, TEA applied A through F grades to individual campuses. Seventy percent of the rating is based on the better of either Student Achievement (how students perform on State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, also known as STAAR) or School Progress (how a student/campus has improved on STAAR performance). For High Schools and Districts, Student Achievement also looks at Graduation Rates and College, Career and Military Readiness. Thirty percent of the rating is based on weighted performance of student groups against annual targets set by TEA. This domain is often called Closing the Gaps.
Individual overall campus ratings and overall scores are as follows:
Lake Travis High School - A (90)
Hudson Bend Middle School - A (90)
Lake Travis Middle School - B (87)
Bee Cave Elementary School - B (89)
Lake Pointe Elementary School - A (96)
Lake Travis Elementary School - B (83)
Lakeway Elementary School - A (95)
Serene Hills Elementary School - A (94)
West Cypress Hills Elementary School - B (87)
