Lake Travis Elementary School teacher Rachael Atwell is the recipient of an education grant from the A+ Education Foundation Grant Program. Rachael teaches Kindergarten and will use her grant to purchase incubators and supplies for hatching eggs in the classroom.

In 2005, A+ Federal Credit Union established the A+ Education Foundation Grant Program to provide grants to full-time educators of pre-kindergarten through 12th grades. These grants help fund materials, programs, and educator trainings, while providing enrichment opportunities for the grant recipients.

In 2019, the A+ Education Foundation awarded 79 educators grants totaling over $72,000 to help fund creative and innovative programs.  Rachael is the sole educator from Lake Travis ISD to receive a grant from the foundation's 2019 program.
